Lucan Weir and Promenade
This contract involved the construction of a weir and promenade along the river Liffey in Dublin. Construction involved site clearance, the demolition of the existing riverbank wall, the placement of a Reno mattress and gabion foundation for the newly constructed large limestone slab steps down to the river edge. The 6.0 m wide promenade was bounded by the same large limestone slabs to the rear of the coloured macadam surfacing. This development also involved the construction of a limestone paved access ramp to a viewing platform area with steps leading down to the new promenade.
